When was Linktone Established?
Linktone commenced operations as a business division of Intrinsic China Technology Ltd., which was incorporated in the Cayman Islands in November 1999. In April 2001, Linktone was spun off to form a newly established holding company in the Cayman Islands, Intrinsic Technology (Holdings) Ltd., and our company was renamed as Linktone Ltd.

In March 2004, We completed the initial public offering of our ADSs, representing our ordinary shares, and listed those securities on the Nasdaq National Market (now the Nasdaq Global Market).

Linktone's business model is based on revenue-sharing relationships with China's telecommunication operators, including China Mobile and China Unicom, the two major mobile operators, and China Telecom and China Netcom, the two major PHS operators in China. Telecommunication operators have implemented a revenue sharing structure with third-party mobile content and application providers. Mobile phone users are charged fees, on either per-use or monthly subscription basis, for Linktone services. Service operators collect these fees and remit Linktone’s portion of the revenue share to the company on a monthly basis..
